This meat reefer
with Bettendorf trucks was built in October 1928 and repainted at
East Chicago in July, 1931, for Jacob E. Decker & Sons of Mason
City, Iowa. This car has billboard “DECKER” lettering on the roof.
The J.E. Decker & Sons Meat Packer produced many brands of sausage,
and competed with the Hormel Packing Company, run by George Hormel,
a nephew of Jacob E. Decker. |
