This
61’ bulkhead flat car is brown with white lettering and runs
on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in in 1964 this car featured
a 61’ internal deck length and capacity of 90 tons. Used for
bulky loads, it was often used to carry lumber, structural steel
and pipes, as well as logs and other long commodities. The reinforced
bulkheads provide load protection as well as prevent shifting
during transit.
