| This 36’
wood sheathed ice reefer with truss rods is brown with white sides
and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in the late 1920s, this car
was decorated for the PET Evaporated Milk company and owned by Northern
Refrigerator Car Company. Contrary to the name, PET was an American
brand of high-quality evaporated dairy products for human consumption,
and was founded in 1885. |
