This
39’ single dome tank car is grey with black lettering and runs
on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1941, with 100,000-pound capacity
this car was used in a MOW capacity, holding lubricating oil
for locomotives. Used through the late 1970s, it was eventually
sidelined. Alaska Railroad is a Class II railroad that was founded
in 1914, and currently runs between Seward and Fairbanks along
656 miles of track.
