This
40’ drop bottom gondola with wood chip extension is black with
white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1937
as a standard service car, this 40’ gondola was later upgraded
for woodchip service. The car was rebuilt and side extensions
were added to accommodate the bulky but lightweight load.
