This
Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad 3-bay covered hopper
with Barber Roller Bearing trucks was built in 1998, and lettered
for South Dakota Soybean Processors. The DME Railroad was the
largest Class II railroad in the United States, which operated
across several midwestern states until 2008 when it was purchased
by the Canadian Pacific Railroad. Today, the DME is a wholly
owned subsidiary of Canadian Pacific Kansas City.
