This 100-ton
gondola with Barber Roller Bearing trucks was built in late 1970,
and in 1978, converted into a covered coil car at the Coster Shops.
The Southern Railway was a Class 1 railroad that operated over
6,000
miles of track across the southern United States from 1894-1982.
Today, it is now part of the Norfolk Southern system following
a 1980 merger with Norfolk & Western Railway. |
