This 10-1-2
heavyweight sleeper car is painted in the tri-color scheme and
runs on 6-wheel passenger trucks. Built in 1911 by Pullman, it
was first named Homestead, and later renamed Fort
Eustis after the Army base in Newport News, Virginia. This
car used on interstate C&O trains throughout the system, it
continued to serve for C&O through the 1960s before being
retired. |
