This 3-2 heavyweight observation
car is Pullman green with gold lettering and runs on 6-wheel passenger
car trucks. Built in 1924, this car served on Union Pacific trains
through the 1940s as a platform for UP officials to examine right-of-ways
and conduct company business. Union Pacific was founded in 1862
and was part of the first Transcontinental Railroad in the United
States. It continues to operate today as one of the largest Class
1 railroads in North America with over 32,000 miles of track. |
