These
50’ standard box cars with 8’ plug door, no roofwalk
and short ladders are yellow with red let-tering and run on
Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1957, it belonged to Class BI-50-2
and was used for temperature-critical commodities and food products.
It was repainted several times and finally into the yellow and
red “We can handle it” paint scheme of the mid-1970s
and was used in revenue through the late 1980s before being
retired.
