This
50 standard box car with 8 plug door no roofwalk
and short ladders is blue with yellow lettering and runs on
Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1967, this class B-74A
boxcar was used in general service by Chessie System. It was
shopped and repainted and upgraded in the early 1980s, and continued
in service through the 1990s. In 1972, Chessie System was formed
through the mergers of Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, Baltimore
& Ohio Railroad, and the Western Maryland Railway and was
headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.
