Built
in 1967 for the Baltimore & Ohio, this 50' B-74A-class plug-door
boxcar with Roller Bearing trucks featured DF load devices,
bulkheads, and a cushioned underframe to help secure and protect
the load. Baltimore & Ohio was the oldest common carrier
railroad in the United States, founded in 1830. After numerous
mergers, it became a part of CSX Transportation, where its heritage
lives on today.
