Colorado Railroad Museum Steam-Up

This has got to be the best entertainment value in the state. On December 4th & 5th from 10am to 4pm the Colorado Railroad Museum will be offering rides behind the oldest operating steam locomotive. D&RGW Engine #346, a Baldwin 2-8-0 built in 1881 will be pulling passengers around the recently complete narrow gauge "mainline" loop surrounding the museum. Santa Claus will be on hand to supervise the event.
The Train Ride is free with admission to the musuem, adults $4.00, Children under 16 $2.00, Family $9.50, Seniors (over 60) $3.50.
Museum will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.


Turntable and Roundhouse Currently under construction

The block of concrete is the turntable pivot point, the turntable bridge is behind to the left and the roundhouse walls are starting to go up to the right of the bridge. (Click on picture for larger view)
