#285602 is one of 15 40' standard box cars with plug door and without roofwalk that were rebuilt for Canadian Pacific August of 1963. These class RPL cars were painted aluminum with the dimensional data stenciled on sides, ends and doors in black. The script lettering, which was introduced in the early 60s, is in red. Serviced in June of 1968 at the Angus Shop, many of these insulated cars could be seen rolling behind the CP Mandarin Orange Express lead car (see product #MTL-74020).
